The Cool Planet Earth website was launched today by AMR AG. We will add more methods to the Planet Earth Toolkit in the coming days and weeks.
Cooling is what earth needs to over come its fever, Global Warming. In principle there are two ways to lower the high temperatures. Either we reduce the emission of warming Greenhouse Gases, or we cool the planet with active cooling measures.
AMR supports both methods but concentrates on the latter. There are already many companies working on emission reductions, whereas the active cooling approach is still in its infancy. We see no chance to reach the Paris agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C without active cooling measures. In the long run emission reductions may prevail, but within the next 50 years active cooling is needed additionally. This is the reason why we launched this new website.
